Welcome to our new website!

Conti's HQ felt it was time for an update. 

With our brand new flavours, labels, new sites in Aberaeron, and so much happening we want to keep you all in the loop - hopefully you'll be as excited as we are!

Leno Conti blazed the way with multiple award wins over his six decades making traditional ice cream in Lampeter, before his daughter Jo and grandson Tom bought the cafe and took over in 2012.

We continue to gain national recognition for our traditional ice cream.

In September 2016 we were named the winner of the ‘From the dairy – Artisan’ Produce Award by ‘delicious’ magazine (food magazine of the year 2017).

Our prize was a four page feature in their August edition and we welcomed a journalist and photographer to see our ice cream being made. Then we took them on a visit of our cafés in Lampeter, Llanerchaeron, and our newest site – Conti’s beach hut in Aberaeron.

“It’s important to us to keep the name going, and the traditional Italian ways,” says Heulwen, Tom Lewis’s partner and the brand’s manager. “And one way to do that is to take our ice cream out there. People already come to West Wales just to taste it, but we're now aiming for a wider audience!”

We have our fingers crossed for this year’s competition, as we've already been shortlisted for our salted caramel ice cream.

With summer in full swing and our new look packaging rolling out, it was also a delight to hear that all six flavours that we chose to enter in this year’s Great Taste awards have each been a awarded one gold star, our best haul yet!
