We're Back … and not a moment too soon!

Hi! Well, finally we’re opening! It’s been a long, dark year and we’re now feeling optimistic enough to open our doors again.

Llanerchaeron is currently doing a roaring trade, as we do have outdoor space at that site. It’s lovely to see everyone coming back!

Lampeter on the other hand has very little space, and no outdoor facilities at all.

Therefore our hands have been tied as to opening as soon as every other cafe in town. We were probably a little over cautious when it came to re-opening in Lampeter because of the space situation. We couldn’t run the risk of anyone contracting the virus from being in our cafe. Same consideration went to our staff too - couldn’t take the risk.

But now … the vaccination programme seems to be working and there is a growing but cautious sense of relief. Perhaps we have Covid on the run - who knows? Fingers crossed!

So the Lampeter cafe will be re-opening on the 2nd June. YAAAAyyyyyy!

Having said that, we’re taking things slowly and not offering fully blown out cooked meals for the moment. We’ve decided that tentaive steps are called for and so, just for the time being, we are offering a very pared-back menu. Mostly confections like our delicious, locally made cake, fluffy warm waffles, paired with lashings of our world-famous multi-award winning ice cream and of course, our wonderful barista coffee. It’s enough to warm the cockles …!

We will not be doing any more ‘Italian evening's’ but instead, have decided that people now want just a lovely chat with their friends over a great glass of wine accompanied by some light bites. So that’s what we will be offering. Why not meet up in Conti’s for a chat, a good glass of wine ( not been possible for well over a year! ) relax, unwind and enjoy really good company.

We are hoping to open very soon on Friday and Saturday nights to begin with.
